Journalist vs Blogger
Yes, there's a difference, both journalist and bloggers are everyday people who are involved in their communities or are a passionate about an issue, they want to inform others who also share their interests, they could be anyone from a mom writing about her kids sporting events, to a volunteer writing about a food banks needs for donation, to a government employee wanted to inform residents about an upcoming program, or to activist seeking to sway reader's opinion on their way.
Here are the differences
Journalists like professional Journalists do a research and conduct interviews, they write their articles in a third person and leave their opinion out of the articles they produce, they submit their stories to newspapers, news websites, community publication and even broadcast outlets.
Bloggers are more freewheeling , many write an ongoing diary that reflects under everyday life, others are more serious, they use their blogs to get their opinion about a particular issue or topic, well they provide some basic facts regarding an issue, they also include commentary. Blogs typically found on a websites maintained by the individual blogger who also welcomes the opinions of others sites.
Journalists role is to inform accurate and unbiased manner, bloggers tends to provide commentary and invite others to express their opinions as well.
I personally believe that both of have the same duty to do which is providing information to show/exhibit/perform to others.
ReplyDeletethe way that they choose is different and I believe the blogging is a new version of journalism.
@ Mr. Sajadi : you can really say blogging is a job but just writing a diary as Ms. Ana said, but is the journalism a freelance reporting or individual work and activity. when for example a photojournalist went to Egypt and died for the sake of photography and images which can show the reality to all around the world and the blogger just sit and write down. yes as a supporter, blogger which who write about politic and sensitive issues, they can do help others, but the blogger are just observer.
ReplyDeleteIt's like how I mentioned in my article. Journalism is like a serious business. Their work needs to be certified before it can be published. While bloggers are free to write anything they want in their blogs, nothing can stop them from writing what they want.
ReplyDeleteyes, bloggers are more free than the journalism. and they just need the subject and some information about it, then they can use their experiment of writing and start to write.
